Start your day off with positive vibes and energy with this vibrant, tasty and healthy ‘Vitality’ shot.

Carrots are packed with fantastic nutrients including carotenoids which give carrots their colour. They are low in calories so a good choice for those watching their weight. Both beta carotene (which is the plant precursor to vitamin A) and vitamin C found in carrot juice act as antioxidants and protect immune cells from free radical damage.

Green apples– packed full of plant chemicals, including the flavonoid Quercetin which has anti- inflammatory action. Apples are low in calories, a great source of vitamin c and potassium and also contain pectin, a ‘soluble’ fibre that can help to lower ‘bad’ cholesterol.

Turmeric contains a powerful compound called Curcumin which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is an adaptogen, meaning that it supports the body’s natural ability to deal with stress. The bioavailability of turmeric is increased when it is combined with black pepper.

Ginger contains antibacterial properties along with anti-inflammatory compounds. Great for giving shots a kick and also to help alleviate gastrointestinal issues. Ginger plays a role in reducing inflammation in the body, supporting the immune system, rejuvenating skin and increasing energy levels. It also contains anti- microbial properties. Ginger contains many important nutrients and vitamins including vitamin C, B5 and B6, along with a good amount of the minerals’ potassium, manganese, copper, and magnesium.

All of these ingredients combined together pack a great nutritional punch that not only provides us with energy, but also, antioxidants to support the immune system and anti-inflammatory properties too.
